4th of July

We had a great 4th of July weekend, it started off by going to the balloon festival on Friday down in Provo. We have never been so I convinced my mom and sister to come down too. We got there just in time to see some of the balloons launch. It was so much fun to see how they work and the girls had a great time dancing to the music. We then went to Jamba juice and got breakfast since it was barely 8:00am and I then took the girls back home with me for a while to play at our house.

I got home and worked on some treats for the following day (see below) then drove the kids back down to Springville in the afternoon...
...they were fast asleep by the time we were just getting off the freeway Saturday the 4th we went over to my cousin Jodi's house for their last 4th of July party in Provo (they are moving to Las Vegas next month). We always have a great time there and lots of yummy food.
They were having a costume contest so we decided we could dress up the girls instead of ourselves. So we made tutu's and matching shirt and flip flops (the flip flops can be seen in a later photo) They looked so cute!
Our patriotic family Seth held very still so his grandma could trace him in chalk.
Then Claire tried tracing my foot,I think she needs a little help with that one.

Mike did his last Diet Coke and Mentos explosions- it's amazing how much thrill can come from that
The Y on the mountain looked like a flag... very cool!
Claire thinking she is big enough to pull these girls.
Random shots of the family
Daddy and Claire riding some scooters
It was getting closer to firework time but we noticed some really dark clouds heading our way so we all grabbed the tent and brought it over to the lawn where our chairs were, we were prepared for the worst and of course all we got were a few sprinkles. The kids said they were watching "Twilight" and that I was in their way while taking the picture! (silly things they come up with)

We had a great time at the Leishman's as they have the best 4th of July party around! Mike's firework display was great! And Claire finally warmed up to them after a few minutes. She wanted to see fireworks all the way home.
