Like my title, I didn't know how else to put it. It totally works for what happened to us...
Moving day is finally here! After a long stressful week, we were able to get into our house. We met our Realtor at the house and she was at the front door kneeling down (strange, but oh well maybe she was praying over the house)
Anyways as I walked up to the front door, I noticed some water in the entry way and our Realtor turned and looked at us and said, "this was not supposed to happen like this" She had got to the house a few minutes before us and stepped inside to find water everywhere... in the tiled entry way and all through the carpet as you walked back to the kitchen. We have a half bath right off the entryway and she saw that it was leaking so she shut off the water supply there and was on the phone with the seller's listing agent immediately. They said they would have the on call team come right over and start getting this problem taken care of. At this point all we could do was laugh! We were just happy to have a place to put our stuff in, but now everything had to be put in the garage or upstairs.
Notice the shiny floors in the bathroom... oh wait that's all WATER!
Entryway
And the carpet , you can see the wet footprints
We went off to the storage unit to start loading the truck up and bring it back to our house. We came home to find this... Look at how wet that is!!
So someone came while were we gone and ripped out the padding and brought 3 huge fans in so it could start drying out Nice, this was going to be taken care of quick! (or so we thought)
We had to lay down rugs and blankets so we wouldn't trample mud throughout the house
Grandma Patti made Claire a sandwich, so she ate while we moved things in.
Claire enjoys having a place so she could color with her chalk.
And here's two pictures showing you what the water damage has done to our walls, you can see the waterline going up the wall
And here where the baseboard is pulling away from the wall. Oh and this is happening in 4 spots in our house.
We didn't move in our downstairs furniture for about 10 days! I was tired of sitting on concrete. We thought this was going to be taken care of quickly, HA! We are on DAY 32 and nothing has been fixed yet. The seller (a bank) says they are not taking responsibility for this and will not pay to have the damages fixed. It's a huge mess!
But we do love our house for the most part

I can't believe that! I'm so sorry about the water damage! I hope things get better. Make sure to post pictures when they do ;)
