Bounce house trip to Utah

Claire and I left Las Vegas in a lot of rain, at least it wasn't snow this time. We made it to Springville in time to go to the Model A cafe to meet Deb's new boyfriend and to have some dinner. Jared made Claire this delicious mickey mouse pancake! The next day after we visited everyones work we went by to see an old friend from our PG ward, Coralie, Jaden and her new baby Bailey.
We brought some lunch over and had a nice visit, and got to meet little Bailey, I think she was only 6 weeks here. Claire and Jaden had fun playing in his room.
Claire gave Jaden a mickey mouse sucker for his birthday a few weeks prior.
That afternoon we went to Thanksgiving Point tulip festival,
we always love going here. Even better when we rent a golf cart, it was kind of windy and threatening rain.

Can you see the owl and the goose nesting above the waterfalls? So fun.
This trip was really planned because Claire wanted to play on the bounce house- so she got her wish and we even put it up in the garage so the kids could play without getting rained on. I never got a picture of her in it because she was having sooo much fun and I didn't want to disturb her. She's trying to get all the air out in this picture.
Silly Claire The next day Bishop Wilding invited us over to come see his tulip festval. I would have to say that he could charge people admission to enter his backyard. He led the kids through the pathway down the side of the yard, then they went straight for the swings. I enjoyed looking around his beautiful yard!

That afternoon we went to Fat Cats for some bowling and yummy food at Costa Vida. Jared joined us and had fun chasing the kids in the play area.

Birthday Party!

Little did Claire know but this was the best birthday present she could have ever received, Grandma Patti got her a Disney Pass! Since she is 3 now we have to pay for her. She always get spoiled with so many great gifts.

I had high hopes for of making a great Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake but my oven had other plans. Very sad. So Costco came to the rescue, with their delicious chocolate cake. So here's what I came up with

Annie and I
Some went swimming at the hotel, and they had this great huge area that Claire was able to walk around, then of course she had fun jumping to Brittney.

Garrett's blessing day

My mom didn't fly in to town just to bring Claire her birthday presents, she actually came so we could drive out to my brother's for Garrett's blessing. So we got up Sunday morning and drove straight to their ward building. We got their a little early so we got some pictures of the family.
After church we went back to their house for some lunch. The kids had so much fun playing together. They were playing hide and seek and Sariah didn't know what was going on. But she was sure dang cute!
Love that smile looking at Grandma!

Claire and Rebecca were hugging and we told them to turn around so we could get a picture and....
... this is what we got! Guess we need to explain a little more to 3 year olds.
Lynnea was reading the book she wrote to Grandma

It was a nice visit to Bullhead but we had to head home a little early so I could get some sleep before work the next morning. So glad we are close enough to be there for these special events!

More birthday for Claire

Grandpa Brad had to work on Claire's birthday, so he and Mary Ann came over on Saturday morning. Brad made us a great breakfast while Claire and Mary Ann set up her new Barbie house that they gave her.
My mom was flying in later that morning, and Claire and I had planned on going to watch her plan land then drive around and pick her up. So I checked the computer to make sure her flight was on time. It was now landing, 25 minutes early!!! So we jumped in the car and as we were driving a southwest airplane flew over us so I told Claire that was Grandma's plane, it probably wasn't but you never know it kept her happy that we got to see her plane.
Grandma brought along more presents with her
She got 2 Zhu Zhu pets, these things are the greatest- don't have to feed them or clean up after them. Just make sure you read the warning, Do NOT put close to your hair! (Claire already learned the hard way)
Oh how I love this picture!
