Halloween

The girls had Friday off of school, so I made them an orange lunch, we had pumpkin shaped grilled cheese, corn chips, orange wafers and some orange "healthy" juice. Halloween dinner I made some minestrone soup and Debra made some "bone" bread sticks.

Claire was Minnie Mouse, and since her adorable shoes that we bought last year for the costume didn't fit anymore, I found these yellow sparkly shoes at WalMart (on clearance) and then my mom added the bow on top.
Snow White, Cinderella and Minnie are ready for some candy.
Our family
Daddy helping Claire cross the street
We stopped at Brittany's house (one of Claire's many friends in the neighborhood)
Jason was meat cutter- NOT a butcher! (thanks to my dads old work uniform) At the last house we went to they had this fake meat cleaver in the yard so I had him take a picture with it and it turned out perfect!! I'm gonna frame this one!
And here's Claire with her bag o' candy, she got lots of m&m's! That's what happens when the people ask which one you would like.

Fall Pictures

We went up Hobble Creek Canyon to take some fall pictures of Claire and those beautiful trees. Here's some of the favorites

We had Claire take our picture and I think she did a great job, our heads made it in the picture!

Happy Birthday Jay

Jason turned 29 on October 12th. We had a yummy family dinner the night before where my mom made him some pumpkin cake.
I picked up a window marker at the store and Jason said you better not write on my car.... well "I" didn't, but I had Debra do it instead.
After he got off of work we went to a local pumpkin patch and had a great time.
They have a small corn maze, that we let Claire decide which way to go

But with all those birds around it took us a little longer to get out... I love her face. She was trying to figure out what was making all that noise.

That night we met up for dinner at the new Pirate Island, great atmosphere and a great place to take noisy kids.

Then we came back for some presents and cake!

the Canyon

A few weeks ago we drove up the canyon to see the pretty trees that started to change colors. So here's Claire showing her 'modeling' poses by a fallen tree.
The golf course with the colors just starting to change
Later that afternoon a storm came in and check out the cloud that was over our house, talk about good vs. evil!

Grandpa's Truck

Grandpa Brad stopped in Springville on his way back to Las Vegas, we met and had some dinner then Claire got to see his HUGE truck.
Grandpa Brad and Claire checking out his living quarters. Thanks for stopping and seeing us!
I don't know where this weird smile comes from, but she's still a cutie!

The Property

We got to go out to Aunt Ruth Ann and Uncle Dennis's property and have dinner. Uncle Dennis made this cute swing for his grandkids and Claire really enjoyed it! Here's Abby, Brenna and Claire while on a little hike.
The girls loved riding on the four wheelrs, Claire didn't take a ride this time, she said she wanted to but would change her mind at the last minute. Grandma Diane and Claire
Yummy, roasting our hotdogs over the fire

The fire pit area, they have done such a great job making this place feel like home
We loved going out there, thanks Harrisons!

Night Away in Midway

Jason and I got to take a night away, so we stayed up at the Homestead in Midway, UT on Labor day weekend. We had been here before for dinner and Jason was drooling over the golf course. So in the morning he got to play while I sat in the golf cart and read and enjoyed the great weather. He loved the GPS in the cart.
Check out the view! Now I can see why people love golfing. I cannot reveal Jason's score but all I can say is he hadn't played golf in about a year and it was a VERY windy day!!

Temple day

We were all able to attend the sealing of little Sariah Crook to her parents, it was such a nice day with our whole family. Here's the girls waiting by the pretty fountain.

Here's the Dan Crook Family (minus Garrett)
