Dino Museum with ALL the cousins

We met up with Candace and kids at the Dinosaur museum, so mom was able to get a picture with all her grand kids. (I think it's a cute one because all the kids are matching and it wasn't even planned) Mom and newest grand daughter, Sariah. Such a doll!! (Dan and Candace adopted her the end of February)

Claire is all girl and it takes her a while to want to play in the sand and water. Debra got her into it by letting her throw a dinosaur in the water so it splashes her.

Why I love summer...

Yup that's it watermelon and fresh corn on the cob! I hate the heat but love the delicious food the summer brings. Like the cute cob holders? My MIL got them for me for christmas, and I wouldn't let my family eat the corn until I got them out of the cupboard, I love them!

Yard Sale time

Well the night before the yard sale we went to the movies to see Hannah Montana with the family and the Schauers kids. Although for some reason my Jason and little Jason didn't want to see that so they went and saw
X-Men which was playing at the same time. Claire did ok during most of the movie we just had to give her lots of treats, she loved dancing to the songs.
I stayed the night at my moms house as we had to get up way early to set up the yard sale. And as we pulled into her driveway I noticed something funny on her garage and as we got closer we saw that it was 2 birds that were not interested in leaving. We had fun watching them until Grandma pulled in and opened the garage door then they finally flew away. The next morning we were all up around 5:30 in the morning and Claire woke up at 5:45am and didn't get to sleep until 11:00pm the night before! I knew what kind of a day I was in for. The sky looked so pretty almost like it was fake, if that makes sense. Our signs for the yard sale said it starts at 8:00 but of course people came by at 6:30!! Crazy!

I gave Claire some chalk during the middle since she was having lots of meltdowns, she drew all over grandma's driveway. I think the yard sale was a success for everyone and the best part was whatever was left went straight in my car and I dropped it off at DI! No more junk!

(Claire did nap later on that afternoon for 3 hours- I had to go in and wake her up so we could go home)

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July weekend, it started off by going to the balloon festival on Friday down in Provo. We have never been so I convinced my mom and sister to come down too. We got there just in time to see some of the balloons launch. It was so much fun to see how they work and the girls had a great time dancing to the music. We then went to Jamba juice and got breakfast since it was barely 8:00am and I then took the girls back home with me for a while to play at our house.

I got home and worked on some treats for the following day (see below) then drove the kids back down to Springville in the afternoon...
...they were fast asleep by the time we were just getting off the freeway Saturday the 4th we went over to my cousin Jodi's house for their last 4th of July party in Provo (they are moving to Las Vegas next month). We always have a great time there and lots of yummy food.
They were having a costume contest so we decided we could dress up the girls instead of ourselves. So we made tutu's and matching shirt and flip flops (the flip flops can be seen in a later photo) They looked so cute!
Our patriotic family Seth held very still so his grandma could trace him in chalk.
Then Claire tried tracing my foot,I think she needs a little help with that one.

Mike did his last Diet Coke and Mentos explosions- it's amazing how much thrill can come from that
The Y on the mountain looked like a flag... very cool!
Claire thinking she is big enough to pull these girls.
Random shots of the family
Daddy and Claire riding some scooters
It was getting closer to firework time but we noticed some really dark clouds heading our way so we all grabbed the tent and brought it over to the lawn where our chairs were, we were prepared for the worst and of course all we got were a few sprinkles. The kids said they were watching "Twilight" and that I was in their way while taking the picture! (silly things they come up with)

We had a great time at the Leishman's as they have the best 4th of July party around! Mike's firework display was great! And Claire finally warmed up to them after a few minutes. She wanted to see fireworks all the way home.

Fun Father's Day weekend

We had a great Father's Day weekend, it started off with me picking up Jason's mom and aunt at the airport on Saturday. Then Saturday night we headed down to Springville for a BBQ and of course that's when the sky decided to open up and pour on us. So we got out the umbrellas and made our BBQ pizzas in the rain. Jason loves when his mom comes up because that means she'll cook salmon and shrimp... he only gets that if we go out to eat. He was in heaven! Then Sunday morning I made breakfast for everyone and then Jay got to open his gifts. (you can see more about his gifts here) Family picture on Father's Day
Jason's mom wanted to take him out to one of his favorite restaurants for dinner, it was delicious as always
Claire got a new ball from Grandma Patti that she has been eyeing at the store for months... and of course about a week later it popped! But she still loves to play with it
The next day we decided to go somewhere no of us have ever been, the Kennecott Copper Mines. I'm really glad we finally got to go and see it up close and not just from the freeway.

We then headed over to Gardners Village where Claire got to ride a pony and actually enjoyed it this time, then we had a great lunch and walked around a few of the shops.
It was Hawaiian days, so here's a funny picture of Jason and his mom
Grandma Patti and Claire

We had such a fun visit with them

So tired!

She really needs her naps... she fell asleep in the car with her drink in hand and a sucker in her mouth
