Well now I can officially say I have a 2 year old, Claire's birthday was on Wednesday. I think she had a great day, it started off to her waking up to the house decorated and balloons were everywhere!
She went down her slide, ate breakfast while watching Sid the Science Kid (it just so happened to be Sid's birthday too so it was perfect for Claire's day), went down her slide some more, helped me pick up the house, went back to her slide, ate some pasta for lunch, slid some more, took a nap, went to WalMart and Del Taco for dinner then back to her slide where she waited for some family to come to her birthday party.
She was so excited to show Abby and Brenna her slide (I don't think this slide ever had a break that night)

Here's the first shot of the cake that I re-created, from the one that Auntie Ree bought for her in California. I am so glad it turned out!

Look how cute it stands for Claire Marie! (my MIL bought these dishes for me for Christmas, when they are all out it spells MICKEY, I just borrowed the C and the M)

Claire's birthday shirt that I scored on at DI a few months ago, put me back a whole $1.00

Mommy and Claire before presents were opened

I will spare you the 30 pictures I have of her opening presents so here's a little collage, some of her faces she makes are just priceless!

Okay now for
up close shots of the cake, it was a chocolate-chocolate chip cake with cookies and cream filling.

Part of the
Feland family joined us, and
Shaylee and Gabriel got to join in all the slide fun. Claire and Brenna would clap
every time they went down

Now for her first
birthday she did not like her cake, so anytime we talked about her birthday coming up she would tell me, "No, be messy!" I had to convince her that this time she could use a fork and not just her hands.
We're singing to her and she is not too excited about all the noise...

but she did eventually blow out the candles with some help from Grandma
Diane. (Claire says, "Happy Birthday to Claire, {phheeww} blow candles")

Uncle Matthew seeing if Claire likes her cake

By the end of the night all the kids were doing funny stuff while going down the slide, so Claire wanted to do her yoga pose
Shaylee and Claire with their babies- too cute!

Before we tried to get her to go to sleep, can you say sugar rush! She wasn't in bed until after 10:30. She had so much fun that day, thank you to everyone who came over and for all the phone calls she got throughout the day!

Happy 2nd Birthday Claire Marie Dallessandro!

That is the stinkin cutest cake I have ever seen. I love it! Debra was telling me how cute it was I had to come check it out. Hey, thanks for looking for plates for me. That was really sweet. Claire is such a doll. I watched her little clip of dancing with the stars. That is adorable. The girl can move. Precious!
