Onions

I just have to mark this day in history as the first time I have ever purchased a white onion for my own use!! I hate onion, I hate the smell and I hate the taste. But it does offer a good flavor in dishes, so I finally caved when a recipe I was making called for onion. I usually use the dried onion or just leave it out all together. Any where we go out to eat I make sure there are No Cebollas! (that's onion in spanish, I used to use that word alot when I first learned in in Spanish class) FYI- I chopped this onion into the tiniest pieces you'll ever see and my soup came out just great!

GO YOU! I'm so proud of you! I still have yet to venture out in that department. I don't even know how to cut an onion. I'm muy impressed with your use of real cebollas!

Yeah Janna! This is so blog worthy for you. I am so proud of you. Onions really make a difference when added to so many recipes. I don't really like them either but when they are cooked into something I can handle it. Hopefully this is a new start for cooking in the Dallessandro home!

Wahooooo!! Janna used an onion! And even if you cut them up small... it's all about the flavor! Good job! Did you cry when you cut it?

I can't believe you weren't already cutting up your onions. I'm a big fan (of them IN stuff - cooked), but I ALWAYS cry. So they are my blessing and curse. Ahh.
