Instead of my Celine Dion concert we decided to still go out for the night, since we had the time off and we had babysitters. So we decided to stay at a place in Midway. We met Debra and Brenna in the WalMart parking lot so they could take Claire home with them. Brenna had just had Indian day at kindergarten so Claire was in awe of her makeup.
We made it up to Midway and stayed at the Inn on the Creek, it was very cute and there was a creek out in front and it was overlooking a golf course, would have been more beautiful if the grass wasn't dead.
Jason and the view from our balcony

I was looking online for places to go eat dinner at in Midway since it is a small town... good thing I did because my first 2 choices were closed and the restaurant in our hotel was to "shi shi" for our taste. So we went over to another restaurant that I had seen, it was at the Homestead. When we pulled in we saw this huge rock and both wondered what it was, after doing some investigating we found out that it was a crater filled with 95 degree crystal blue water!
They had lots of stairs going all the way to the top, I made Jason go up first to see if it was worth looking at (I didn't want to waste an asthma attack on nothing)
When we got to the top we saw that it was an opening to look down inside the crater of course it was covered with fencing so there was no way of falling in, but someone had made a hole in it (picture for a camera to fit) You could feel the heat coming up from the water, it felt really nice since it was so cold. In the picture you can see the brown dock and I could hear someone swimming down there

What a fun weekend!
I've actually been swimming in that crater. It is SUPER warm. I must admit that it's a tad creepy... because it goes down so deep and you're in a 'cave'. (I think they teach scuba diving in there too)
It is creepy for the first few mintues, but then, it is SO relaxing! Kelly & I had our honeymoon there at the homestead. We loved the crater...it was refreshing too...full of natural minerals! If you get a chance to go swim in it, I'd take it. But, beware, it makes you sleepy because it stays around 96 degrees! Hee hee...they actually had to bring in a hose with cold water when we were there, because it got too warm!
Midway is my favorite...
You guys are so good to explore the fun spots in Utah County. Midway sounds fun. We know people who scuba dive in the crater.
