City Center

Jason and I went out to the new City Center to have dinner. My friend Nandra offered to watch Claire so we could go by ourselves (awesome, and Claire had a ton of fun) The Aria hotel is gorgeous, I can't wait to see what the rooms look like! We went and ate at the buffet- wow that was delicious!! Check out {one} of my desserts... chocolate nutella cream cake with caramelized bananas-YUM. And look at this cake they had on display

City Center is so perty- especially at night, it really sparkles!
Had a fun evening out with my hubby!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day ended up being a great day- I was a little worried about how it would go since I had a bad morning, Anyways went to church and look what all the mother's got... Great Harvest cookies!! haha Never had one of those before. It was still a nice treat! Jason had to go to work later that day, so we went over and met his dad and Mary Ann at the Italian Festival in the Silverton parking lot. On the way over I hear Claire asking me if she looked pretty and I kept saying yes you always do and finally she was yelling at me to really look at her, so I turned around and saw this...
She had found a little eye liner pencil on the seat and thought she would do her makeup!

Jason and his dad eating a very expensive sausage sandwich
This just grossed me out
Mary Ann's daughter was in town from Boise, and she wanted to go on some rides and somehow talked Mary Ann into going on the Zipper!!! ) I don't know how she gave in so quickly) Love this picture- the excitement on Amanda's face and the disgust on Mary Ann's!

Then Amanda took Claire on some kiddie rides, she loved the swings and held on to her hand the whole time.
Then she drove her own boat!
Claire didn't understand that each ride you had to pay to go on... it's not like Disneyland my dear. So she left very unhappy because her parents aren't millionaires!
And what the....? Do you think this is supposed to draw more people to get on the rides?

Claire and I later went to the Leishman's and had a great dinner and some good girl talk, and I go the best present from my mom (that will be in a later post)

Parks

We have been visiting quite a few parks lately. We went to Sunset Park with Nandra on a very VERY windy day. Claire had a hard time standing still for this picture
Then we went over and fed the ducks

(We fixed up out little porch area and planted our tomatoes, which are now as tall as the top of the wire stand!!!) I hope they survive this heat because the rest of the plants no longer look this good.
Our friend from Pleasant Grove called us and said she was going to be in St. George asked if we wanted to come up for a visit. It worked our perfectly because Jason was off, so we made a day trip to St. George to visit Amy and (baby) Drake. We picked them up at their hotel and found this great new park and played for a while.

The weather was perfect but a little chilly to be playing in the water, but a lady accidentally turned it on. Drake loved playing near it

We then went and had lunch at Cracker Barrel. So nice seeing old friends again!
This little girl LOVES to wear high heels, not only her play ones but I find mine all over the house! This time she got a hold of my boots!!
