Happy Halloween

Instead of carving our pumpkins this year I bedazzled one of them and painted the other, something different and easy. We went down to Springville so Claire could go Trick or Treating with the girls, we had a yummy dinner (you can find the recipe here) it was perfect because it was Halloween colorsAnd here's some pudding ghosts I made for dessert

Taking Claire to her first house, she finally caught the hang of it towards the end and would tell everyone thank you and bye bye! Oh and if they had a pet in the house she would invite herself in to go see it

Ahh break time back at Grandma's, she did do a lot of walking so she deserved it.

And even enjoyed a sucker, it is now 10:30 at night and she is finally asleep. She must have had a great night and didn't want it to end.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Cookies

A few days ago I was watching my nieces, so I decided we would decorate cookies while they were here. Well first we watched some previews for the new Tinker Bell movie (it came with our copy of Sleeping Beauty), so here' the girls watching the movie. Then we put in Sleeping Beauty and watched that while we decorated cookies This is when Claire is at her happiest... when she has her bottle! (hopefully soon it will be gone)
I thought this pic was funny, here's Abby and Brenna with their finished products. Abby is making a funny face because Brenna said something mean about her cookie right before I snapped this.

Punkin Patch

We took Claire back to the same Pumpkin Patch we took her to last year, this year was a lot different, first of all she can walk now and second she LOVES all the "pumpkies" this year. She was in "pumpky" heaven. When you go 2 days before Halloween, all thats left are the funky looking green ones, but at least she sat still for me to snap this picture.

Lately when I tell Claire we are ready to go 'bye bye' she has been getting her shopping cart and she pushes it out the door, so once we get to the car I just throw it in the back and get her in the car seat. Well as we left for the pumpkin patch she did just that she grabbed her shopping cart and out the door she went... it came in handy this time, I put the pumpkin in her cart and she pushed it back to our front door.

Last weekend

Saturday, Jay and I went to the temple with my cousin Amy and Dave. I snapped this quick picture with the pretty fall leaves.Then while I was on my way down to pick up Claire from my moms I was informed by Debra that we were going to a Halloween party. So I had to run home and get the rest of Claire's costume and figure something for me to be in 5 minutes notice. So Deb and I ended up being Baby Mommas. It was a very cute theme Halloween party but too cold for us to be out all night.The Cowardly Lion (Matthew) and the Wicked Witch of the West (Sandie)

Fall Drive

A few days ago I wanted to take Claire out to see all the pretty leaves because I swear they changed colors overnight and it looks amazing! ANyways it just so happenend to be the windiest day ever and quite cold. Anyways we started driving and ended up going up the Alpine Loop a little ways and found the perfect spot to stop for a few minutes. Claire wasn't so sure about stepping on the leaves that made a funny sound. But she did love watching the water and didn't want to leave it

18 Month Check up

Claire and I ventured off to her 18 month Doctor check up. I got there early since I knew I had to change all our information...address, phone number and insurance. I think Claire remembered this place because once they put us in the room to wait for the doctor all she kept telling me was "Out" and tried to open the door. Finally I was able to entertain her by letting her spin on the doctors chair.

When Dr. Johnson came in he was asking me about all the things that she can do so I started telling him but didn't have to talk much longer because Claire started naming everything in the room and showing off her skills. And I was afraid she would be this shy girl who wouldn't say a word. She did have to get 2 shots plus her flu shot, she was a sad little girl just for a few minutes though.

Well Claire is in the 100% for her height, 34 3/4 inches

and 93% for her weight, 28.7 pounds! (I think these are correct- the paper is in the car still)

Manga's (or Mom) Birthday!

For my moms birthday Debra and I met down at her office and dropped off some muffins for them to enjoy. Some of her friends decorated her office so it was fun to see that. Then we went over to Vote so we wont have to wait in the long lines on November 4th. Then we got back to my moms work just in time for her to go on a lunch break and she wanted to go to Zupas so we called Sandie and met her there and we all had a yummy lunch. That night everyone met up at our house to enjoy moms birthday dinner, she wanted a BIG chinese chicken salad and that's what she got. We also had to do some Wii Fit. Here's Brenna and Matthew working on there Yoga poses.
