Random May Pictures

She thought it was really funny when I put her cheerios in a bowl and let her feed herself Claire - "Excuse me mom, I am trying to watch Dora"
This little girl LOVES sherbet ice cream, every time Jason brings it out of the freezer Claire has to go grab it from him and try to break into it herself. Now thats its getting empty she can kind of pick up it. She can't wait for us to get some out and put it in a bowl for her so we let her have the whole container and that made her happy!

And finally Claire and daddy watching the Laker game together. I think Jason's love for basketball has worn off on her a little bit, she likes to clap whenever he turns a game on.

Memorial Weekend- Star Valley, WY

We left on Saturday after Jason got off work to head up to Star Valley.

Claire had fun in the car playing with our headrest

Her cousins were so happy to see her when we arrived at the cabins

That night we went out shooting, it was my first time.
Debra and I sporting our ear protection- those guns are loud!My first shot I got the clay pigeon!!

Grandma watched Claire while we were gone- she went right into the cabinets

(much easier since they were empty)

When we got back this is how we found the girls- all tucked in and ready for bed

Sunday we headed North towards Yellowstone

Lots of snow was still there
We ate lunch while waiting for the next time Old Faithful was set to go off
Claire was a little restless while waiting she just wanted to run away

Finally... Old Faithful.... amazing

We went into the lodge and Claire enjoyed eating daddy's huckleberry candy

Grandma got the little girls these fun light up toys- they kinda vibrated when turned on so Claire loved it on her cheeks

I believe this was Lewis Falls, so pretty

So much snow, it was amazing how much was still up there.

Okay so I know the moose isn't real in this picture but this is where we saw the first one just couldn't get a picture of him because he was way down the hill drinking some water

Back at the cabins there was a double rainbow

We were in the Huckleberry cabin this year and there was this cute carved bear on the wall, Claire loved looking at it so we had to get a picture with Claire and her bear

Memorial day we went over to my dads grave site, it was really raining so Claire was a little sad because we wouldn't let her down

Finally she's free, but she did fall on her bum so that was the end of that

We finished our day with all of us eating at the Cheese Factory, then headed for home

The "Testicle Festival" was on again in Woodruff, UT, but this time they got a fancy new sign!

Grandma Diane was in our car for the end of the ride home and brought bubbles with her. Jason held them up to the air vent and they would blow all over the car- she loved it.

Great trip and we have our rooms booked for next year, Can't wait!

Jason shooting...

A quick video of Jason shooting the water, it was more fun I guess. Who needs Old Faithful when you can make it happen yourself

Milk

I was going to start "trying" to get Claire off the bottle soon, but a little while ago she was being really cranky, so I asked her what she wanted. And of course I get no answer. So I asked if she wanted a drink and she looked towards the sink , then I asked if she wanted some milk? She immediatley responds with the sign for milk.... which I had no clue she knew! So I jumped up and got her bottle (which she now calls baba)
How can I take this away from her when it makes her so happy?

Silly Kid

I think we haved reached the climbing stage. I caught Claire sitting inside our bottom kitchen drawer the other day, she has done the same thing with our bedroom dresser and we have caught her standing on top of her toy chest too. She thinks it is so funny.

Watermelon

I went to the store today and brought home a watermelon, Claire was taking a nap when I got home. After she woke up I was holding her on the chair next to the counter and she saw it and started saying Ball. So I of course had to get it down, and she began to play with it like a ball, rolling it around the living room. She was trying to pick it up but it was a little too heavy for her.

Claire's pictures

We set up a time for my friend Valarie to take some pictures of Claire- and I am so pleased at how they came out. She captured some of Claire's infamous faces. Thanks so much Val!

Our (HOT) Trip to California

We are back from California, here's some pictures from all our adventures.

This is Claire right after I woke her up to change her at 6:00 am, as you can see it was a bit early for her and fell back asleep on the changing table.

We arrived in California about 9:30 in the morning and Claire did great on the flight, I was hoping she would have slept since she woke up so early but I was wrong, she had fun watching TV and playing with the window. As soon as we got into the car she was out and slept all the way to Arcadia (even missed out on our first stop, In-N-Out)

We stopped at Auntie Ree's house to unload our bags and Claire started exploring, she loved her big bath tub and...
... loved feeling the cool air come out of the vents
(our vents at home are up on the walls so this was new to her)
I have had 3 friends that had babies and we got to meet them all first here is
Tessa Kathleen (almost 1 month old)
Brooke Taylor (2 hours old!) Conner Ryan (3 months old)
Friday night we did go to Disneyland but as you can see I don't have any pictures. While we were at the hospital to visit my friend Katie, Claire decided to drop my camera on the hospital floor and it bounced twice, and it moved something on my camera and those Disneyland pictures are no where to be found right now. There weren't many pictures so I'll just explain what we did.
We went to Rain Forest Cafe for dinner- Claire loved all the animals and plants to look at. Then got on the monorail and went into Tomorrowland, went on Buzz Lightyear, Carousel, Snow White, and walked down Main Street and did some pin trading. By then Claire had had enough so we walked back to the car. It was a quick trip but we enjoyed being there. If I ever find the pictures I'll add them.
Saturday was WICKED!!! The day was finally here, Jason got me the tickets for my birthday. Grandma Patti and Auntie Ree watched Claire (they went to the car wash, had a Popsicle, and went to Target) Wicked was so incredibly GREAT! I loved every minute of it, except the fact that the temperature inside was almost the same as the outside- HOT! Saturday night we went to one of our favorite restaurants- BJ's. Claire had fun coloring.
Back at Auntie Ree's house- Claire loved playing with all of her beads. I knew I didn't need to bring toys!
Sunday morning we headed out to Ventura so Claire could meet Great Grandma Vi for the first time. We met up at Souplantation and had a great visit!
On the way there we stopped somewhere off the 101 fwy to get some gas.... $4.09 a gallon! Then on the way back the temperature started rising and it got up to 106º

Sunday night Aunt Kat and family stopped by to see Claire...
can you tell what team they were rooting for??Later that evening we put Claire in the pool in her new Dora bathing suit. She wasn't too in to it, but she liked the beach ball that someone had there a lot better
Jason and Christopher playing some cards before we watched Desperate Housewives
Monday morning we went out to see Grandma Patti's new bank, went and had lunch at a Mexican restaurant (Claire loved the sweet tamales) This fountain was out in front and she had to stop and see it.
We then walked over to the brand new Trader Joes, did some shopping, and Claire got a balloon. We went back to the bank and Claire got some wiggles out.
Claire and grandma playing at her desk.
Saying good bye to Auntie Ree (I had to crop her out of the picture because she was crying, but it was a cute one of Claire all relaxed) We are so grateful to her for letting us stay at her house and using her room and her nice, huge, comfy, new bed. We had a great trip and got to see lots of people and do all that we wanted to. Just wish it wasn't so hot, it reached 100º everyday we were there. Claire relaxing before boarding the plane back to SLC.
