Hiding spot?

So this is her new spot Claire likes to climb in, under our kitchen sink! I'm just waiting for the day day that she goes in there to really hide and closes the door. Silly girl!

It's a my birthaday too!

So yesterday was my 27th birthday! Wow

Jason got me Wicked tickets for when we go down to California in May (so excited) then he also came home from work with some flowers and balloons attached to chocolate licorice (one of my favs) Usually when daddy comes home he has to hold Claire as soon as he comes through the door or she gets quite vocal, but ones she saw those balloons she could careless about him. That afternoon we headed for the South Towne mall and walked around for a bit then met up with my family to have dinner at Sweet Tomatoes.

Claire enjoying more of her pickles- I know I post alot of these pics but it still cracks us up
Oh and Claire started taking a few steps on her own a few days ago, so we had fun with her walking back and forth. So here is one picture we got of her standing on her own.

Oh and just a side note- Jason some how managed to get a new/old game system. It plays both Nintendo and Super Nintendo games, he is a very happy boy. Who's birthday was it again???
Thanks for all those who called or sent messages to me- Greatly apprecited!!
I had a very nice birthday!

Bubbles

I just wanted to share my new favorite thing... Bubbles! But these aren't just any bubble, they are amazing!!! I found out about them in our calling in the nursery, one of the moms had them at the end of class. These bubbles stay forever, I was amazed. So of course I had to ask her where she got them and she told me Gymboree.
Now the Easter Bunny was supposed to bring these for Claire's Easter basket but he dropped them off early so I had to open them and try it out. The sales lady told me they are a sugar based formula, and that once you use these you will never buy any other brand. The wand will make up to 100 bubbles at a time and they don't pop very easy. So after I was done playing with them it was time to go to bed and I noticed there was a bunch still on the ground.... anyways the next morning I left real early to head down to Springville then got back to my house around noon and I went to set Claire down on the ground and noticed there was stuff all over the floor so I quickly turned on the light to see what it was... BUBBLES!!!!!! 12 hours later the bubbles were still on the ground. So I do have to say these are worth the 6 bucks.

Here's Claire enjoying an early Easter present (she had 3 little bubbles on her head while she was wandering the house that would not pop!)

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Since we didn't even go out of the house on St. Patty's Day because of my injuries I at least had to post this picture to show that Claire wore green! Her cousins, Abby and Brenna, stopped by so I had to get a pic of the 3 of them with their festive green outfits

I even wore my green pajama pants and a green sweatshirt :P

March Madness, Stairs, Birthday...

March Madness

I always thought Jason loved the month March because it was our anniversary and my birthday but I was so wrong- it's because of March Madness and Sunday was the start of all this madness! The brackets are out and Jason has been busy making his picks I believe he has 4 different brackets going on (as of today- you have until Thursday to submit so I'm sure he'll find more) Jason loves his basketball and looks forward to this every year, in fact I don't think he ever stops talking about it. Anyways he has high hopes and already has spots picked out as to where the TV, and BBQ will go and knows what he'll do with the money he wins. I have 3 weeks of him on the computer watching how he is scoring, watching the games on tv, and discussing games with his dad on the phone.....Good luck Jay!

Stairs

Sunday after church was our March Birthday party of at my cousin David's house. So Jason and I got things ready to head down to the car, Jason went down stairs first and I was behind him carrying Claire and the diaper bag--- next thing I know I am slowly falling to the ground with Claire still in my arms. I must have missed the bottom step, anyways Claire was totally fine (I saved her with my wrist) And Jason came running over and grabbed her. Now me on the other hand was a little beat up. I managed to wobble to the car and we drove to my cousins house where they got my knee bandaged up and I was able to sit and relax.(THANK YOU to those in helping my wounds!) I believe I sprained my left ankle, bruised and cut my right knee, and hurt my left wrist- so I was in a lot of pain. Jason immediatley called work and told them he wasn't going to be in on Monday which worked out great because I could hardly walk today. He was a great help with Claire and got up with her in the night, fed her breakfast, got her out of mischief, gave her a bath and changed every diaper.
Jason's quote of the night was "I'm going back to work!"

Birthday
We had a great time after all my drama was over with, and a yummy turkey dinner. We had plans to do an Easter egg hunt for the kids but the weather was a bit cold and windy. So instead they created a game for the kids to do inside- they got tons of eggs, candy and other fun treasures. Carter and I got to blow out the candles on the Cars cake and open up some presents. I had my camera with me in hopes of taking lots of pictures but that didn't happen since I wasn't able to move around alot, so here are a few I have.

Carter turned 3 on the 7th and I will be 27 on the 25th, so when the cake came out there was a number 3 candle for Carter, and if you multiply the 9 candles on the cake by 3 you get 27!!!
SO cute Michelle!

Claire was not having a good day, since she was up at 6:50 am and NO naps again all day she was crying alot while we were at the party but as soon as she got a hold of some of those eggs that made noise she was a happy girl. (just an FYI to the family who witnessed all of Claire's screaming when we got home she was the happiest girl on the planet and could not stop laughing and didn't end up falling asleep until after 10:00pm- 15 hours of being awake that girl is crazy)

Thanks to the David Harrison family for hosting the party at their house- we had a great time, now if only I didn't go tumbling down some steps it would have been alot better.

I love Wednesdays!

I know it's an odd day to love but this is why, first of all because it is Jason's day off and second since he is home it allows me to take a nice long shower and have the bathroom to myself to get ready!

So today we went up to Thanksgiving Point. We decided to get a pass this year, so we went and got that taken care of. Then headed over to the Deli for lunch and what do you know, my sandwhich came with a pickle! As you can see Claire loved it again (she actually was screaming when we tried to get it out of her hands) Then we headed over to look through the shops. Then the sun decided to peak through so we went down to see the farm animals. I wasn't sure how Claire would react but she did pretty good for her first interaction with theses animals.
She was "Oooohhhh"ing at everything and pointing alot but never cried
We love it when daddy is home with us (Jason and I actually get alot accomplished in the house) and Claire is happy that it's daddy coming to get her out of her crib in the morning for a change. I am also very excited to use our pass this year- Claire and I can go on lots of walks when we get bored here at home

I LOVE this laugh

I sure hope Claire never looses her laugh because I absolutley LOVE it. Claire loves to shovel everything we put in front of her into her mouth, so tonight I was trying to slow her down a bit and she thought I was being so funny- so out came the video camera and this is what she was doing...

11 Months Old

So I missed Claire's actual 11 Months birthday post (8th) because I was at work so here it is now...

She is not walking yet, but still loves to walk with her little walking toy, she has gotten better at it where now when she gets stuck in a corner she can wiggle it around and turn the other way (which has been very helpful to us since she gets stuck quite often in our little apartment).
She loves music- even on silly tv commercials she'll start to bounce up and down.
She loves her food- in fact I don't think we've found anything that she doesn't like yet. I've had to teach her to say Ahhhh and open her mouth to show me what she still has in there before I give her anymore food, she's really good at shoveling 10 cheerios in her mouth and still wanting more.

Claire has never been one that likes the pacifier (which is good and bad for me) Anyways I found a bowl full of them and gave them to her to see what she would do. She had fun with them for about 15 minutes or so, biting them, banging them together, or throwing them across the kitchen.

Pickles

I have always loved watching kids faces when you give them something new to eat, especially pickles! They make the funniest faces... but not Claire she loved them!!! Here's a short video of her enjoying these sour treats
(Papa Vern would be so proud!)

Some of Claire's favorites

Since Claire is almost 11 months old, I thought I would post some of her favorite activities she likes to do around the house.. Of course peek-a-boo, she loves pulling the laundry off the couch and pull it over her head, keeps her entertained for quite a while... it's really funny when she starts laughing at herself

She loves climbing under our table and play there for a while, then she'll go under out chairs and climb over the rails over and over again.

She LOVES her new walking toy that Grandma Diane got for her

And I just had to post these pictures because she is wearing her cute bows that I loved so much. I can only get her to wear them for a few minutes before she pulls them off so as you can see from the bottom picture I distracted her with things to put in her hands so it took her a while to pull them off. She looks like a little Alice in Wonderland!

Jason's Anniversary surprise

For our anniversary I told Jason that I was taking care of it and that he didn't need to get me anything. I have heard alot about this B&B called Johnson Mill, in Midway City, UT. So I booked a room and kept it a surprise from Jason. I already had our bag in the car so when he got home from work Saturday afternoon, he changed his clothes and we were off. Now I had this whole story planned of what to say if he were to ask me where we were going BUT he never did (must be very trusting of me) He was busy talking about work and other things going on in our lives, and soon enough we arrived at our destination... and he still wasn't asking where we were even when we got out of the car and walked up to the front door. So I finally just told him, this is where we are staying tonight! And he casually says, "oh okay!" Silly boy!

How cute! They put your names up by which room you are staying in, although they did spell my name wrong- I guess it's the thought that counts, right?

We were in the Presidential Suite, here's some pictures of the room...

Dining Room

Here's a little video of the view from our room- it was gorgeous!!

I brought food to make for dinner that night- Good thing too since right after we got there the storm rolled in. So it was nice to be inside and not outside scrounging for a place to eat

Some deer that wandered near our front door

(It's funny on there website it lists some animals that have been spotted near there hotel but it does NOT guarantee you will see them all the time) I wanted to see a Moose, but these deer were nice enought to come out.

This is me standing in the front walkways of the hotel
but right now its covered in about 3-4 feet of snow!
Jason in front of Johnson Mill

Ahhh the happy couple

Here's us as we departed the wonderful B&B, that we will have to come back and visit when the snow has all melted

We then drove up to Park City to do some shopping at the outlets (it all ended up being for Claire- lucky girl) It was such a beautiful day up there, COLD 20º!!!!

We had a quick bite to eat a Ruby Tuesdays-YUM

Jason enjoying his avocado burger

This is just a picture of the bright blue sky as we were leaving. I can't belive how much snow they have up there. I wanted to take more pictures of all the snow but it was too cold and I didn't plan enough clothes for that type of weather.

(Thank you to my family who watched Claire for the night, we missed her alot but knew she was in good hands!)
