Shoes?

The other day while at Target, I was walking through the dollar section and found these nice Red shoes (I think they are supposed to be for Valentines Day) Anyways I couldn't pass them up they were only $1.00!!! They have no hard soles and are basically just made of fabric, so I thought I would give them a try. When we got home I put them on her feet and she kinda looked at my like "Are you crazy mom?" ANd she would start to whimper everytime she looked down at her feet, it was kind of funny to watch, but she never screamed like she has before. She ended up keeping them on all day!!!

This is when I first put them on... and the face she would make.
(Please don't mind the pink shirt and red shoes, that was just the outfit she had on while at Target)
This is her a little later on in the day as she was getting used to the shoes.
(notice I did change her outfit to something that had red in the shirt)

Snow again

I think I took these pics last week during one of the many storms that have come through I can't remember. I opened the blinds so I could see what was happening with the storm, the wind was blowing so hard- it really was white out conditions for a while. I walked into the other room for a few mintues and I couldn't here Claire so I ran back in, and there she was just standing by the window watching the snow... very quietly!

Yummy new food

Since Jay was off today he wanted to go and try out a new food place that his friend told him about... EZ Take Out Burger, it's down on State St. in Orem, just North of the mall.
I do have to say it was quite tasty, I didn't feel like a burger so I had chicken strips and they were very yummy. Jay did give me a bite of his hamburger and it was good. I guess this place started in S. Cali and this is the only one in Utah. It reminds you of
In-N-Out, but they also serve breakfast. Anyways we enjoyed it.
Claire enjoyed eating there french fries!!

Comics

I can remember my dad loved to read the comics in the newspaper, and sometimes he'd cut one out, & put it up on the fridge because it was really funny or had a good meaning to it (It was usually a Family Circus one) .
I was going through old pictures the other night and found this taped to the backside of another picture. I had had it taped to the back of my door when I was in high school- the date on it is from 1997. Don't you wish you can see dreams again?

Is it so...

Claire and I were out running errands today and as I was waiting to turn onto State St. in American Fork (right in front of Costco) I noticed a sign... and since I have no where near perfect vision I had to drive over to see if what I was seeing was correct or if my eyes were deceiving me. So I parked my car, and got out to stand in front of this sign- it was true... El Pollo Loco will soon be coming to that shopping center!! I came home and found this article online about it . Yay!

She has a hairstylist?

Can you believe it, only 9 months old and she already has a hairstylist?
Aunt Debbie loves to fix Claire's hair (and since she's not wearing her bows anymore I don't mind at all) It's amazing what a water bottle, comb, and Aussie hairspray can do to your childs hair For church on Sunday I went back to doing the flour and water bows, she only tried to pullit off once at church... then later that night finally got it out of her hair. It was cute while it lasted!

Bath time

Since Claire has started crawling bath time has become more of a chore because she wont sit down, but the other night she was just relaxed and quiet and sitting so I grabbed the camera. I love watching her and the things she notices- like her new favorite thing is the plug and faucet!

9 Months

We can not believe how quickly Claire has grown up, she is now 9 months old and we love her to pieces! This post is mainly for me, so when I do get around to scrapbooking I'll remember what she was doing at this age.
She says mama, dada, papa (which now can also sound like bye bye)& uh-oh, waves bye bye, blows raspberries, sticks her tongue out if someone else does, makes a monster sound (daddy taught her), gives you a high 5, she still loves this crawling thing but also loves standing up, she plays catch while sitting down and she now has 2 teeth! (the bottom right corner picture shows them well)
I can't believe that in 3 months we will be celebrating her 1 st birthday- I'd better start planning now!!!!

California in January

We had a great trip to So. Cal (I am too tired at the moment to write next to each picture as we just got home at 1 am this morning) So I'll give a quick run down as to what we did.

*Claire did great for her first flight- slept both ways!
*Went to lots of our favorite places to eat- IN-N-OUT, Petrillos, Grand Burger, El Pollo Loco, & BJ's
*Trader Joes shopping trips
* Visited lots of family and friends
*Goofy's Kitchen (which Claire loved Mad Hatter- cried when he walked away, but hated Baloo and Goofy)
* Enjoyed a few hours at Disneyland before the STORM of the century rolled in, it was perfect timing. Ended up raining most of the time we were there, but it's ok because we got our Disney trip in. It wasn't crowded, we walked on most rides and then did some pin trading.

Claire's score on Buzz- 10,800 (not bad for a 9 month old)
