Christmas Eve Day

Drove down to Springville early in the morning, and got a picture of the snow characters, he was in the middle of making all the guys from Madagascar.
Breakfast with all the grandkids at my moms house, waffles and yummy bran muffins
Then the kids left to go over to Aunt Ruth Ann's to make a surprise for all the parents then we got to come over and help make rice krispie treat ginderbread houses- so cute!

Day after Christmas

So the snow storm decided to wait and come Christmas night and the next day, I don't know how but it was a lot. The girls wanted to build a snowman so we all got bundled up and went out side. Claire doesn't have any real snow gear yet, so she had on 2 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of pants, a long sleeve shirt, sweat shirt, jacket, hat and 2 hoods! The girls ended up just playing in the snow as Grandma and I tried for the snowman, but failed so instead we ended up making the Matterhorn. Claire had so much fun throwing the snow and walking next to Grandma as she shoveled the driveway.
Later on that day we went to the mall, had dinner at Red Robin. Then we went and saw the lights at Thanksgiving Point, and the girls got out to go see the Reindeer while it was starting to snow again.

Christmas Day

We decided at the last minute to stay at my moms house for Christmas Eve because of a bad snow storm that was on its way. I had to send Santa a quick email so he would know where to find Claire- and he got it just in time!

Last year Claire was sick for Christmas and this year she woke up with a swollen left eye, we have no clue what happened. But by the afternoon it had cleared up and was back to normal.

Abby and Brenna picked out this present for Jason all by themselves... a can of the squeeze cheese, Jason loves it and the girls saw it in the store and knew Jason would love it. Thanks chicas!

Claire had fun opening all her presents despite not seeing very well with a half shut eye...I think her favorite present was this Princess ('rella) blanket. She would not let go of it
She would just lay on the floor and cover herself with it, or climb on someones lap and just snuggle for a little bit

This is the last picture I took on Christmas Day, I don't know why I didn't get my camera out again.

After presents we had a delicious breakfast of biscuits and gravy (dad's favorite!) and some sweet cinnamon bread. Then it was time to get ready and go to Aunth RuthAnn's for dinner and the cousins gift exchange. It was a great Christmas

Baking Fools!

Debra came over to my house a few days before Christmas so we could do some baking. Here's a picture of some of the mess. I actually forgot to take a picture of all the finished products. We made snickerdoodles, peanut butter kiss cookies, candycane kiss cookies, white chocolate (christmas) chex mix, and caramel chocolate pretzels.
Claire really, really wanted a cookie, and we were all busy doing something so she decided to just grab one from the table on her own

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone!
We hope you had a great day
(especially those who we don't have addresses for and to all my blog stalkers)

Christmas with Peter Breinholt

Christmas time for Debra and I means another Peter Breinholt concert. We got on Trax and rode that up to SLC, Sandie was working there that night so we got a ride home from her. So here's us freezing at the Trax station! We had perfect seats right in the center with lots of leg rooom... if I only we could've been sitting where those people were, right up front... {*wink wink*} Such a great concert and really got me in the Christmas spirit! Debra and I went and bought some CD's after the concert was over and since we had to wait for Sandie we decided we would finally get the band to sign our CD's since this had to be the 8th concert we had been to and had yet to do that! Here's our picture with the man himself, Peter B!
Short version of what happened after the concert...
While waiting for Sandie to be done with work, Peter was still out talking to his fans and he was asking people if they were coming back for the 2nd show on Monday, I over heard this and piped up and said "I wish I was coming back but it's sold out." He said "actually we just opened up the orchestra seating and I could comp you guys some tickets!" SCORE!!!!!!! We were all over that. Debra emailed him and he put us down on the list. So we went back up on Monday evening and Debra brought along 2 friends and Matthew joined us up there. And guess where our seats were?? Yup, right where those people were sitting in the above photo! So awesome! He even played a song that I requested, I felt so special.
Here's the 3 sisters leaving the concert, we had to have proof that we were all up there!
Peter's opening act was James Conlee... Amazing singer! We bought his CD too. If you go to his website (here) he has a free download, so you can check him out! He does an amazing version of O Holy Night, his whole CD is so awesome!

Snow Boots

Claire loves to walk around in our shoes, so I had to laugh when she got into my boots the other day... guess she was ready to go play in all that snow outside.
And just some cute pictures of Claire in the snow

Movie night

I had this great idea that Claire and I could get into our jammies and cuddle up under a blanket and watch the Muppet Christmas movie that was on TV. I made some pop corn and hot chocolate. Claire had some for the first time, (of course it was more like chocolate milk because I added it to her milk cup and threw an ice cube in so it in no way would burn her.) Claire is very into the movie and the popcorn that she was chowing on...

Then 5 minutes later after she decided to crumble her popcorn all over the floor she was a little maniac and wanted to get into everything! So much for my idea, maybe next Christmas we can try it again.
But I sure did enjoy those 5 quiet minutes of us just sitting next to each other! I love that little crazy girl!

*Every night when we put her to bed she has to say good night to things in the room, and since it's Christmas she says good night to lots of the Christmas ornaments... Good night Mimi mouse, Abby's bus, snow, Pooh, star, moose, shoe... it's cute!

An Early Christmas

The first weekend in December Jason's Mom and Aunt flew up so we could have a little Christmas together. This is Claire and I while we were waiting for their plane to land, she had lots of fun watching all the planes take off. Once we got them in the car we were off to Ruth's Diner, (Maria had seen the episode on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives and had to go)
Matthew even joined us so he could meet Maria and enjoy and yummy breakfast We then went to WalMart because Maria wanted to get Claire a kitchen for Christmas, so here's the kitchen in about a million pieces. Patti and I started to put it together while Maria and Jason just watched us and ate

Sunday Dec. 7th (Christmas Morning) Claire woke up to lots of presents under the tree.
She got a Dora doll
And a cute new vest from Gma Patti
Grandma and Claire showing off their new slippers!
Claire LOVED her kitchen, as you can see she is already multi-tasking. She can talk on the phone and make pasta at the same time.
Who knew you could buy real live little girls at WalMartThen it was time for Claire to leave I guess, she had her slippers on, jacket on, and a purse... "Bye Bye"
That after noon we had a delicious Christmas dinner. Jason's family every Christmas has a prime rib, so that's what we had too and a brisket (one of my favorites, and the smell of my house brought back good memories of my dad) Debra and the girls joined with us
{click on the picture and you can see the half a cow on Jason's plate} We did lots of Christmassy things while they were here, we saw the lights at Thanksgiving Point, and the Reindeer (Patti has those pictures as I left my camera in the car) and went and saw this amazing house in Lindon, where the lights dance to the music. Here's Claire and Gma enjoying the christmas lights
It's always sad to see them go, but we were so grateful that they were able to come up and spend a few days at our house for the holidays
THANK YOU!

Working

Last Friday I was at work doing a banquet for the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert over at the Conference Center. I was helping to take something upstairs, and as we turned the corner to get on the elevator we saw a guy getting on to a golf cart who looked VERY familiar, but I had no clue who it was and it was killing me trying to figure it out. He said hello and went on his way. Well I figured it out (and doubled checked myself when I got home by searching on the internet) His name is Brian Stokes Mitchell, who I'm sure is a Great singer but I knew him from.... The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air!! He was Trevor, Hilary's boyfriend, the one who proposed while bungee jumping....he was only in a few episodes. I know you all are remembering who he is now! Here's his pictureAnd we also took dinner into Edward Herrmann's dressing room, he was the dad in Gilmore girls, and Goldie Hawn's rich husband in the movie Overboard. Oh and he recently played "Norman" the intern on Grey's Anatomy!

We had a fun and easy night at work, I Love my job!

This ones for Mike

A few days ago Claire was playing on the floor in our office and she kept saying Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike... and I finally turned around to see what she was talking about. She had gotten down the Moore Family Reunion Book and was finding pictures of Mike only. Not anyone else in our family that she sees all the time, but the one guy who makes silly faces at her and sometimes ends up in tears when she sees him.
See Mike she really does love you!
