Abby plays soccer?

Abby is on a soccer team- the Wolves. Her game was on Wednesday night and since I was at my moms house while Jason was golfing, Claire and I got to go to her game. It was alot of fun, there are some tough 5, 6, and 7 year olds out there. I had to take this first picture because if you'll notice the guy behind Abby, that is one of the coaches for the other team. He is sure one dedicated dad/coach/employee ...he is coaching his daughters soccer game, carrying his son on his back and has his ear piece on in case a call comes in. WOW!
We'll have to come to another one of her games later down the road who knows maybe she will score a goal, hopefully not for the other team!
Claire was so tired from all the excitement!

Here's Abby standing EXACTLY where her coach told her to stand. She's a silly girl, she did alot of running and watching. She'll catch on really soon.

Here's Abby posing with her favorite cousin after they won their game.

Snow cones!

We went to our favorite snow cone place for one of the last times this season since it closes on Tuesday!! I don't know why places like this are only open for a few months, we would definatley keep them in business. We met our friends Randy and Jennie there, and got our snow cones and went and sat out on the grass and enjoyed them. Claire was watching us as we ate, so I decided she needed to try a little of my banana one. You can tell by the picture that she liked it. We'll start her on rice cereal once we get back from California, and see how much she likes that. Hopefully we can get to the snow cone shack one more time before it closes, if not then... Until next Memorial Day my friend....

Cheez-it's

So were staring Claire off early on the solid foods, we thought we'd skip all that cereal stuff and go right for the crackers! Just kidding. She was kinda cranky this morning... Claire was eyeing the box of Cheez-its, so Jason held the box up for her and she immediately smiled. She was having so much fun playing and trying to eat the box. We think she's taking after her cousin Brenna- the Cheez-It queen!

Eclipse

So I finally finished Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer tonight! I'm glad I took time to read this book, and didn't rush to get it done in one day. It gave me time to help things sink in and dream about what could happen next. Sounds like I do have enough time to read it again though (Jason is not excited about that) because her next book, The Host, doesn't come out until next year!

I wanted to share some of my favorite quotes from this book. There were so many to choose from but here are some of my favorites!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I'll be back so soon you won't have time to miss me. Look after my heart--I've left it with you."

- Edward

"Did you seriously just stamp your foot? I thought girls only did that on TV."- Jacob

"Yes, because a vampire slumber party is the pinnacle of safety conscious behavior." -Bella

"Technically, I can't ever sleep with you." -Edward

"...You know, Jacob, if it weren't for the fact that we're natural enemies and that you're also trying to steal away the reason for my existence, I might actually like you." -Edward

"Maybe... if you weren't a disgusting vampire who was planning to suck out the life of the girl I love... well, no, not even then." -Jacob

You know that you nearly gave me a heart attack? Not the easiest thing to do, that." -Edward
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guess I also have sometime to find out what happens to Harry Potter, I stopped in the middle of that book to start reading these books....

Day at the park

We went to the park with my mom, sisters and nieces last Saturday. I put Claire in the swing surrounded by 2 blankets, she was having fun for the whole minute she was in there. We had to get her out because it started to rain, so we ran for cover under the picnic table area and ate our Zubs cheese sticks and fruit. It was another quick storm which cooled things off so nice... but then it was gone and it got HOT!

She is such a happy child and pretty dang cute!

New faces

Claire has this new thing she does with her lips... I thought it was just a phase and that she would stop doing, but she has been going at it for about 3 weeks now. She either spits or makes a humming noise while doing it, but it makes Jay and I crack up all the time. So I sat next to her one night to see if I can catch her doing it, & after about 6 attempts I finally caught her in the act.

Summer Thunder Storms!

One reason why I love living in Utah is because of these freak summer storms. Around 6:00 tonight I went outside to grill some vegetables for dinner and I could hear thunder off in the distance, and then the rain started very light at first. And I thought to myself , "this is so cool, I'm out here BBQ'ing in the rain and I'm not getting wet!" So I told Jason to bring Claire out because it actually cooled things down for a bit. Well that's when the winds decided to shift and the rains came DOWN!!! And also into our balcony!!! Jason took Claire inside and I just tried to stand close to the house so I could still watch our dinner... bad idea! I was getting soaked. So I quickly turned off the BBQ and ran inside and waited the lovely storm out from the other side of the window. It was a funny moment and it all happened so quickly, so I just thought I would share.
The picture below is during this downpour, it doesn't do it justice but at least I got it documented.

4 months old

I took Claire to the doctor this morning for her 4 month old shots (never fun, but has to be done). Anways she now weighs in at 15 lbs 13 oz and is 24 3/4" long. Here's some pictures of her little bandaids. Abby and Brenna also wanted their pictures taken with Claire (notice Abby's missing tooth, it's her 5th one so far)

Grandma Patti's visit

Grandma Patti came up from California to see Claire. We had lots of fun going to some new shops and eating at yummy places. The last night she was here we decided to BBQ, and since I don't eat seafood this was Jason's opportunity to eat some. So we went to Macey's and they picked out some salmon and shrimp. Then we also made BBQ corn on the cob, watermelon, and Patti made her yummy brocolli and cheese rice, it looked like we could feed an army but it was just the 3 of us! (FYI, I BBQ'd myself a hamburger in case you were wondering)

We had a great visit with her, and I think she wore Claire out because after we got back from the airport Claire fell asleep for almost 3 hours (for those of you who know Claire, she only takes little cat naps during the day)

Brenna at Cracker Barrell, she thought she was so funny drinking her lemonade and water at the same time.Grandma and Claire at Cracker Barrell

Enjoying the seafood BBQ! I had to get a candle out, that shrimp has a strong smell!!! You can see Claire's little head poking up.

Oh Claire is so funny (video)

Earlier today Jason and I were leaving Thanksgiving Point and I was trying to give him directions on which way to go, and I kept saying "turn left". Claire must have thought this word was so funny to her because she just started giggling, so I quickly grabbed my camera in hopes that she would continue to laugh... and she sure did (for another 2 minutes). I don't know why the word LEFT was so funny to her. Enjoy the video! (sorry about the bumpy camera)

Wyoming (again)

After our Moore family reunion my mom, Claire, Abby, Brenna and I took off for Star Valley. My brother and his family were going up too. We were lucky enough to be able to be in my dads favorite place on what would have been his 60th birthday. So here's some pictures with all the grandkids for the first time at my dads grave.

Cousins

We drove up the canyon to go for a little hike up to Periodic Springs (I have some cool pictures somewhere of the creek bed actually drying up and going throught its stages, if I find them I'll post them later) On our drive up there it was raining hard so we didnt think they would want to go, but sure enough they did. We had enough umbrellas in our cars to get them all covered. Here they are on the way up, the hike is only 3/4 mile.

Mom and I stayed back to watch the little kids since it was still pouring down rain, so we had fun playing in the car.

On the way back from the hike, by then it had stopped raining

Moore Family Reunion

We had our Family Reunion this past week up Hobble Creek Canyon. Our theme for this reunion was "Home For The Holidays" So we celebrated different holidays that we would normally not be able to all be together for. We had Thanksgiving dinner to start of the events. We decorated Valentine cookies, had an easter egg hunt, an Un-Birthday party for everyone, a Christmas message/Family Feud game, and went Tent or Treating for Halloween (the kids were given some aluminum foil and had to make up a little costume- they had some great ideas). We also had a fun Harry Potter time, and played Bingo as a family. It was such a fun time!
