Bumbo

So I have read and heard alot about this Bumbo chair, so I went to Target and picked one up. It is supposed to help babies neck muscles and help them sit up. And since Claire has basically held her head up since she was born we thought she would like it. In the first picture she is having a ball in her new chair, but as time went by she was looking kinda bored.

 
 

Swim Time!!

Well not actually swimming yet, but she does have a new bathing suit. We had to try it on to see how it looks... perfect fit!

 
 
 

Grandma Diane

Here's some pictures of Grandma Diane and Claire spending some time together the other night. Oh and I think this is the first time that Claire and my mom have not matched clothes... usually when we go see my mom she and Claire match in some way- both wearing green, or purple, or pink, but not this time!

A First for Claire

So as most of you know Claire has yet to sleep in her crib... until yesterday. Last night she fell asleep a little earlier than usual, so I decided to lay her down in her crib just to see if she would stay for a while. Well that was at 9:00 pm, I went back in her room at 10:00, 1:00, & 4:00 and what do you know, she was still sound asleep! She finally woke up about 5:30, I was so excited. Lets hope this will continue on.

Peter Breinholt

We went to the concert in the park up by Temple Square in Salt Lake, our favorite (well at least mine and Debra's favorite) Peter Breinholt was playing. Jason watched Claire and did very well for his first time for that long. We parked up at Sandie's house and walked down to the park and waited for that hot sun to dip down behind the trees. It was such a fun evening, can't wait until we see him again in September.


Abby was the brave one and got up and danced with all the other kids.

Fathers Day

Jason's first Fathers day- I took Jason out to Chili's on Saturday for an early Fathers day dinner. On Sunday we went to church then over to my moms house for dinner and a yummy dessert. Claire got her daddy the movies Mighty Ducks 1, 2 & 3!



I saw this magazine at my moms house yesterday and decided I would try to make the dessert that was on the front cover, but I kinda of made my own version of it.
The outside is made up of mint chip and vanilla ice cream sandwhiches, then the inside (starting from the bottom up) has a layer of oreo crust, chocolate brownie ice cream, vanilla ice cream, caramel topping, cool whip, then chocolate shavings on top. I'd do have to say it was quite tasty... Brenna told me that I make good ice cream!

Best Friends

I am trying to get Claire used to Mickey Mouse, (so she will be excited in September when she actually sees him) she talked to him for about 10 minutes... I think they will become fast friends!

P.S. She slept for 11 hours last night! Yeah, she's a rockstar!!


 

Bridalveil Falls

We decided to take a little walk up to Bridalveil Falls today since I was watching Abby and Brenna. It was such a pretty day and the girls had fun walking in the COLD water. Brenna had me feel her feet each time she stepped out to see if they got colder. Claire enjoyed being carried by daddy in the Baby Bjorn (thanks Amy for letting us borrow it) she kept falling asleep in it, but she did wake up towards the end of her walk. We stopped in a shaddy spot by the water and had a little snack, then headed down back to the car.


 
 
 
 

2 month check up

We took Claire in for her 2 month check up, and her first set of shots!! She now is 23 inches long and weighs in at 12 lbs 13oz!! This girl loves her food! Doctor said she is doing great. Her shots went ok, of course there was some crying, She has a cute Hello Kitty bandaid on one leg and I think its Tweety bird on the other. We got her calmed down and out to the car, gave her a litle to eat and she was out like a light! Poor thing, but she did survive.

 
 

BBQ Time

 
 
 

We had a little BBQ down at moms house in Springville on Saturday night. The Harrisons, Hanks and Leishman boys were all there. Mom got the bounce house out and the kids were loving it, Seth even got to try it for a minute. Claire was enjoying being outside in the shade... myabe next time she'll get to try the bounce house (with no one else in it)

Bows

 

So mommy bought me some new bows (she thinks I look like a big present now) She says I need to have a bow on or I look too much like daddy, not that that is a bad thing, but hey I'm a little girl!

Year of a Million Dreams

So we were over looking at some pins and I was holding Claire, I heard a lady behind me say, "Is this her first time at disneyland?"And as I turned around I said, "Yes, it is" and I noticed it was a Cast Member who was a part of the Year of a Million Dreams... (my heart skipped a beat- LOL)
BUT she asked me if she could give her a pin, so she wrote the date and her name on it. Jason was so bummed that she didn't give us a nights stay in the Cinderella suite or a life time of fast passes, but hey Claire has a nice memento of her first trip to Disneyland!

 

Disneyland!!

Before heading out of the park we had to take pictures by the castle and with her first pair of Mickey ears on... trouble is she was asleep so we had to wake her up, she wasn't too happy. But we got the pics!



On our "Quick" trip to California we were also able to squeeze in an even quicker trip to Disneyland. Claire went on her first rides... Winnie the Pooh (which she was actually awake for and didn't know what to look at first.) Then we went over to Small World where she slept the entire ride!
