When we went back to the cemetery on Memorial Day, Claire was actually "kind of" awake. My friend/cousin- Chrissy, her baby Shaylee and Claire are about 2 months apart. And then there is a cousin picture. Monday was a beautiful day to be in Star Valley.

Claire was awake for some parts of the trip, like watching the Jazz game with daddy, and taking a bath in her new ducky tub (she loved it)




Claire was stolen alot by her aunts or grandma, but she had fun. Sandie took her a couple times after we ate breakfast and she would fall asleep on her. Her cousins would also have fun trying to get her to smile, in fact we all did!

Star Valley Cont'd....

We went up to Jackson Hole and to see part of the Tetons, and again Claire was asleep, but we do have pictures to prove that she was there.

Memorial weekend- Star Valley, WY

We left for our annual trip to Star Valley, this was Claire's first time... and as you'll notice from the pictures she slept through most of it.

Smiles

So Claire has started smiling! She has always smiled when we feed her and we got such a kick out of it but now she is doing it on her own. So these pictures are my attempt of capturing her smiles (they don't do it justice but I guess they will work for now)

Melting Pot

Okay so fondue is my new favorite food- cheese and chocolate how could you go wrong! I have always wanted to go to the Melting Pot so for a Christmas present Jason got me a gift certificate that said we could go before Claire comes... well that didn't happen. Anyways, Aunt Sandie agreed to watch Claire for us (THANKS) and Jay and I went and had an awesome dinner. I need to start a saving account so we can go back sometime.

It's been so fun watching Claire grow, I know it's only been 5 weeks, but she changes so quick. She has started to notice her mobiles, so we had to make a run to the store to start buying toys since she is getting more interested in them now.

Mother's Day

My first Mother's day! Yay! It was a nice day. Claire's daddy got me some pretty white roses and a balloon. We then went down to church with my mom and sisters, and we BBQ some yummy steaks when we got back to moms house. We even got to squeeze in a little nap time. Later on that night the Harrison crew came over to have some dessert for Sandie's birthday.

Beauty Salon

So on Mother's Day we went down to my moms house in Springville, and after church everyone was taking a nap so Jay, Claire and I took one as well. But a little while later Aunt Debbie came in and stole Claire. She fed and changed her and little did we know decided to give Claire a new hair style. So when I came into the living room there was Aunt Debbie with a water bottle and comb brushing Claire's hair... she was trying to get the curl to stay.

Quote from Aunt Debbie, "If she smells like grape, I didn't do it." meaning she put Aussie scrunch spray in her hair.

Turkey Point (AKA Thanksgiving Point)

 

 

 

 

We all met up at Thanksgiving Point on Saturday the 12th. It was a nice day, overcast but breezy up there, and little Claire again decides to sleep through it all. She slept through the waterfalls, the Secret Garden, and the fish pond. Maybe next time she will stay awake and be able to see all the pretty flowers.

Road Trip

I had to take a picture of Claire seeing the Virgin River Gorge for the first time... can you tell how excited she was??

Claire went on her first road trip down to Mesquite, NV (May 8-10) to meet some family. It was about a 5 hour drive so we didn't know what to expect, but she did great- slept the ENTIRE ride down and was ready to play when we got there.

1 month

Claire is 1 month old! Wow it sure does fly by fast.

Funny note- Aunt Debbie went to pick her up after we took this picture and the pants slipped right off of her, they stayed exactly where she was laying... we had a good laugh.
