Going home

We left the hospital on Wednesday the 11th, but before we could go we had to get a picture of my Aunt Janet's plaque that is hung up in the nurses lounge. My Aunt worked at Utah Valley for many years but passed away in 1999. They still have this hung up in memory of her.

Here's some pics of Claire still in our hospital room.
Grandma Diane holding Claire and the cute Build-A-Bear she got for her... Claire Bear- she even has her own little Easter basket since she was born on Easter.
Grandma Patti and Great Grandma Virginia drove all day Tuesday from S. Cali to come and see her. They stayed with us for a few days and were a great help! Especially with all the food. YUM!

We have an Easter baby!

I woke up around 1:15 am on Easter morning with some weird pains, so I got up and walked around, went and watched tv and realized that this wasn't going away. So then I started trying to time the contractions so see how far apart they were but that wasn't working either because there was this one long pain that stayed with me so I couldn't tell when one ended and the next one began. So by 3:00 am, I was ready to go to the hospital, I woke Jason up and told him I think it was time for us to go somewhere. I told him to get in the shower so he could be more awake... then we were off to the hospital by 3:30 in the pouring rain. We were checked into our hospital room by 4:10, and the nurse came in and checked me and I was dialated to a 5. We were both shocked. My mom took a picture of my contractions because there was this cute little stork that flew across the screen at the very top. (my contractions are in blue)

Anyways I was able to get my epideral in no time, so that was VERY nice. Then the wait began and soon they started hooking me up to everything they could to help this little girl come down. Nothing seamed to be working, my only pain at this point was the blood pressure machine that kept checking me every 13 minutes... oh it hurt. (Later on when I was in recovery I noticed I did have many bruises on both my arms from that band)

Around 12:30 my nurse came in to tell me that she
talked to my doctors and they said it was time to get this little girl out. So we were on our way for the C-section. Jason had to get into his scrubs which he didn't like, he said he felt like the marshmellow man. My doctors showed up straight from church and we were wheeled into the OR.
